StReSs and how to deal.

By Friday I was pretty overwhelmed with stress.  But I got by with a little help from my friends.  Mary and Phil came over with Gianna and got everyone pizza (no cooking!) and then dessert :).  Judy brought us some groceries on Saturday, and Chris has been helping me a ton this weekend without me even asking.  By Sunday I was pretty tired of jumping over two lazy dogs that lounge around taking up precious floor space and squeezing by Chris in our teeny, tiny kitchen and everywhere else in our little cabin of a house.  So I made the call to take a hop over to Andie's Bounce Barn and bounce it out.  I bet you wouldn't think that a noisy warehouse full of enormous bouncy houses would be relaxing, but it was.  The kids ran around at top speed for an hour and a half and we got to watch them smile it up non-stop.  Max crashed on our bed when he got home and slept through dinner, and when he woke up around 6:30 he was hungry and had a fever.  He also woke up in the night with a fever and slept with us for the rest of the night.  He's home from school today with me and "J".  He's feeling better but he needs a rest day.  Our house gets tight in the winter when you can't spread out in the yard like you can in the warm weather.  The dogs have to stay in and we can't spill out onto the little front porch. Winter is make-it-work time in our little house. I think we've done a pretty good job this season in making the small space feel a bit roomier (up-high shelves, impromptu closets, etc.) but when it's not tidy, and you have a genuine two-year-old added to the mix, it can get claustrophobic.  But the kids went to bed really nicely last night and I really got my clean on while I was waiting for Ice Loves Coco to come on a 10:30, so we're starting the week out on a good foot :)

  3. Ya, you're chilling in the background! I almost told you to sit up straight when I took that pic but I didn't want to spoil the moment. Everyone was so into "Finnieus and Ferb" (or whatever it was called) after bathtime, and Jillian was just flopped out. It was so many bodies in such a little bit of space, and you can't see him but Jeter is at your feet :)
