Facts about Jet Packs

We were driving over to my grandmother's for dinner tonight, me and the three kids. Mimi says from the back seat, "Max, would you ever want to have a jet pack? I wouldn't because the fire shoots out the bottom and it would set your legs on fire."  So Max, who is sitting in the front seat next to me, turns around very seriously and determinedly and says, "No, Mimi, that's not true". And I completely thought that he was going to school her about how jet packs are only in Johnny Test and how they aren't real. But instead he says this: "You're thinking of the old fashioned style of jet packs. They don't make them like that anymore. Now they have a new kind with longer pipes that go down past your legs and the fire is down lower. The only thing is, they're really expensive. So I'm not sure if you'd be able to get one of those kinds."  Max is always full of "facts" like this and he states them all so seriously.  I get such a kick out of it!

In other news:

Pa and I escaped to the Garlic Festival! I didn't get any good pictures, though. Just us having lunch. It was great, though. $7 gets you in and you can sample from all the vendors and buy lots of great local garlic goodies!

Here Pa is sampling the local Pepsi ;)

Pa had fish and chips and I had a kabob. We also shared some very tasty tomato and cheddar soup.

 This is the soup!

Not the best picture but it's all I've got! I need a better camera. Christmas?  It was a nice day, very windy and not too chilly, but chilly enough to make me happy that fall is finally here for our neck of the woods, always the very last holdout!!!

Nate refuses to wear bibs 99% of the time. That's why he usually gets two baths a day. He loves taking baths. Maybe that's why he refuses to wear bibs.

Mimi is a big camera thief.

Nate loves baked beans. He like to eat them and paint his tray with them.

To the tub (again)!

  2. I think it's New Zealand that's just made jetpack licenses a thing recently. They are indeed very expensive, so he's not far off
