These Eggers know their Eggs!

It's a cluttered kitchen scene this Easter Eve, but the kids had a great time dying and decorating eggs.

Every year it's the same thing: we're about to fill the mugs and cups, but before any of that can start, it's the annual house-wide hunt for white vinegar (we have red, but that won't do). So I made the yearly run to Family Dollar to buy a jug right before we got started.

About to dunk...

Mimi's...

Maxwell's...

Pa has been pretty busy working on basement renovations, so we can't really blame him for catching a few winks with his smallest egg...

Mimi is my darling daughter xoxoxo
She let me give her a bang trim tonight before her bath. I did a pretty good job, don't you think?

A little something you may not know about the Easter Bunny: She's very diligent, and also a bit paranoid that the big day will come and she'll be without enough to fill the little baskets. So she starts picking up little odds and ends early. She finds a little something here, a little something there, and she stashes it away for Easter. Sometimes she doesn't realize until she goes to fill those baskets that she has quite a lot of little this-and-thats... Well, at least she's leaving it all for two very good little kids...

Oh, and it's also BYOB around here: Bring your own basket! Yes, the bunny has gone green and likes to see old baskets put to good Easter use!

From here it looks like some stickers, a very coveted baby kitty, a little glass animal of some sort (perhaps a bishon fisee puppy?), a lego girl, an American Girls chapter book, and a new thermos to replace the sorely missed broken one...

Let's see... I think that's a Martha Speaks chapter book, alien putty, a glass animal (maybe a meercat?), another replacement water bottle, and a bounce game...

Tomorrow our plan is to go to sacrament meeting, where the primary children will sing "Gethsemane". I heard Max and Mimi singing it the other night, so sweet! Then we're going on Nate's first visit to Gramma Sandy's! :)
Happy Easter Eve!

And P.S. Here are some of the sweetest brother pictures in the world xoxoxo

Okay, NOW have a Happy Easter!!!
